From what I know selling commission is about 40%. So one seller would make $250 profit on the sale, the other "only" $200.
That kind of profit is justifiable when you are selling fresh meat that might get rotten before customer arrives, but not on special orders that coming from the warehouse spend 1 day at the parts department.
I prize Internet for getting more competition and cutting down such practices.
