Temperature display

I,ve just lost parts of the liquid crystal digits on my dash outside temperature display on my W208. What do I have to do to remedie it?

Same here on my W210. Check the Stickys on that forum and there are a couple of methods others have tried with varying levels of success. In my experience, dealers will not fix them, they will only replace for about $1,000. You can also have yours reconditoned but I don't know who does that (try Google). One place is somewhere in Massachusetts but there must be several in the US.

The official fix is a new cluster but if you are handy or bring it to some cluster repair shop, they can replace the rubber membrane connector and/or fix the contact pressure to make the connector work again.

It is a pretty common issue, the W210 section could have more guidance, I have not seen a guide on the cluster disassembly but one would likely exist (I have not searched for it).
