Just bought my second Mercedes after being a big BM* fan for many years.
I had a W203 C320 Elegance in 2001 but sold it after just a year as I was not impressed with the build quality and trivial things kept seeing it in the dealers for warranty work.
I then had a couple of Munich products, the last one, a 330Ci Sport which I had for the best part of six years. A great car, but suspension like driving over bricks all the time, way to hard for an old man of 46 !
Along with my Crohns, which affects my stomach and the banging and crashing over bumps just got too much, I just found the car way to hard and 22mpg not exactly great when gas here in the UK is so expensive...So, to cut a long story a bit shorter, while off work on a weeks holiday I set about finding a replacement car, but this time I decided to go down the diesel route and ended up with a very nice 2005 E320 CDi in Melanite black ( the colour goes Emerald green in the sunshine) with Palma Grey leather. Nice spec with Audio 50 sat nav,Parktronic front and rear, Memory seats,Thermotronic A/C,Heated Seats and 6 disc CD.
So far,so good apart from the fact that after a few days I noticed a vibration through the car when it hit top gear, got in touch with the dealer and just got it back after having a new torque converter....thank goodness for warranties !
I hope all will be good from now on, I am putting my faith back in Mercedes, lets hope its well founded.
Bye for now.
