I have a 2000 MB S430. When driving without the 2 lights on the dash for the shock. The car sways when driving.

When you are driving it without the '2 lights on the dash for the shock' I think it means you are in comfort mode which provides a higher degree of suspension compliance, or a softer ride. The downside is more body movement and the swaying effect. It's nice for around town when you want a smooth ride, but out on the highway, it's nice to firm up the shock settings for less float and more control.
