This should be compared to the figures for other manufacturers, how would it look like?

Yes Mercedes is doing quite well in this tough economy. The bigger test will come in the next few months.

Canadian national news a couple of days ago reported that overall auto sales IN THE UNITED STATES were down 27-percent for September (compared to Sept. '07). They also reported that for the same period, GM sales were down 35-percent, Chrysler (or Ford's??) sales were down 34-percent; Honda's sales were down 0.1-percent, and Toyota's sales had increased 0.3-percent, IIRC.

Cheers from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

They are doing very well in this market. The Smart's still can't even be kept on dealers lots for more then a few days and the people who buy Maybach's really don't care what the economy is doing. If there current Mayback is dirty, well then its time to get a new one.
