Inner and Outer Axle Boots leaking

Hello all,

I have a ML320 2000. This truck has been giving me a lot of problems and I don't have extended warranty. I already spent like $4K this year.

I took this for service yesterday ( 79K) service the dealers are telling me now that " inner and outer axle boots needs to be changed " and they are quoting me $1500. If this is not somethign urgent I would like to hold off on this. I am kind of sick of this car but doesn't want to sell it since i have spent already this much money on it.

Also does anybody know good mercedes mechanic around San Jose CA area.?
