Hi from new member

Hello all in benzworld. I'm new to the forum and relatively new to Mercs. The first Mercedes I ever drove was a friends 1985 w124 200, which I thought was fantastic for its year. From this time on I got into Merc mode and the first Mercedes I owned was a 190D I had this for about 5 years, it was only the 2L model so was quite slow, but it was ok when up and going, very economical and never had any trouble. It had 220,000 clocked up when I traded it and it felt like it could do the same again. I then changed to another brand but was very dissapointed by the overall build quality and niggling faults.
So now i've just bought one of the greats a W124 coupe. Its a E220 so again probably not the best engine powerwise for the heavy body, but I am supprised at the acceleration and overall power. It has a highish mileage 190,000 so there'll be lots of service jobs to catch up on. So thats where I'm at. I look forward to reading through the Threads and gaining your experience and advice and also to sharing anything worthwhile I can contribute. Cheers Kevin

Hye! I'm also new to Mecs... ... can you please give me some hints about M-B E220? I've recently got one from 2004... CDI, Euro4, 150BHP... Avantgarde options ... it's lovely! But i also have some troubles... the on-board computer is in German and i can't use it in any way except like the blind peolple... touching randomly buttons and hopeing not to brake something ). It also camed with a West Europe DVD for Navi System and i'm living in "Dracula's country", Romania (Center/Mid - East Europe). So, if you cand give me some help, in any kind, i'll be very gratefull! Have a good day! P.S. I'm waiting as soon as possible for that help... i'm quite excited of the car till now but i need moreeeee ). Thanks in advance!
