My name is Brian and I am a Mercedes Benz owner. Almost sounds like I have an affliction. Maybe thats because few cars foster an emotional connection with their owners they way a Mercedes can. We Mercedes owners are a unique sort of people. We have Mercs because we seek to be different. Or perhaps it was die eingebaute Vorfahrt.
I presently own a 2005 E320 CDI which I purchased second hand in June of this year. I've had 2 previous Mercedes cars, both C Class. I had a 2004 230 Kompressor, which I adored, and a 2006 C280 I'd rather forget about. My CDI is my very first used car. My CDI is black, has ash leather, navigation, cd changer, e55 rims, and gets fantastic fuel mileage. Its exactly like my 230 in almost every way. I've never been more pleased with a car in my life. A merc is bliss, but a merc diesel is heaven.
I work in technical sales for a large data storage manufacturer. One of my hobbies happens to be computers. If you do what I do its almost a necessity. Professionally I've used just about every type of computer system you can think of...and then many more you haven't. I'm infatuated with technology. Technology is my second passion.
As for Automobiles I've had the car bug as long as I can remember. I grew up in the suburbs of Detroit...so you can say cars are in my blood. My father, my brother, and I share our passion for cars. They each maintain old Cadillacs. My father presently owns a 1971 Sedan DeVille, and formerly had a 1939 Cadillac Limo. My brother currently looks after his very own 1959 Sedan DeVille. I decided to part with tradition as I have a love of old Porsche cars. When the opportunity presented itself I cashed in some stock and bought my 1964 Porsche 356. I'm big fan of the television shows Overhaulin and TopGear. I watch racing with the exception of stock car and drag racing. Nothing against them just that I find LMP1/P2/DTM and F1 infinitely more technical and enjoyable. Cars are my third passion.
I love to travel when I can. I've been to every US state except for Alaska, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, and Oklahoma. I've seen most of the ticket items the US has to offer. Lately I've been trying to see the world. So far I've checked off the Netherlands, Germany, Australia, Greece, and Turkey. They say international travel changes you. Having done so I can't agree more. One not only discovers more about the world with every trip, but one also learns more about oneself. It really does develop one's acceptance and curiosity. Travel is my fourth passion.
I now live just outside of Annapolis, MD. MD is my fifth state. I've lived in MI, MA, NY, and most recently FL. Not may people would give up FL. All I can say is I met the most fantastic lady. Leaving the beach was the easiest decision I've ever made. Beth is my first passion. She's an incredibly smart, kind, sweet, genuine, and fun woman. How many guy's have wives that get on their case because they AREN'T spending more time restoring their old car? Not a day goes by I don't think to myself how lucky I am.
So thats me.
