I bought my car at an auction. I thought I had no chance at buying it but the price started so low I jumped at it. I ended up with it for 1200. I'm here to try and get a few issues fixed on it.
I found that there were some electrical issues that I solved by replacing ALL of the fuses. About 6 months later, the car shut off on my wife. Our mechanic started tapping into power and throwing 25 amp fuses at it. I eventually found that the fuse box needed to be replaced. This solved all electrical issues including some extra wires that were floating around. Now my main issue are the brakes. There's a grinding sound, sometimes a pulsating feel and definitely a stiffing on the pedal. This is what brings me to this forum. I was told to replace the ABS pump. I was also told that it would take quite some time to replace. But I replaced it in 15 minutes (makes you think doesn't it). No change. I think they meant to say power booster. But if memory serves correctly, that doesn't take long either. I think they were trying to get themselves a new boat or something!
Can anyone direct me to the correct place to start? I haven't found any questions that match my issues.
