Buying a '00 ML-430 what do I have mechanic look at?
I'm on the verge of purchasing my first Mercedes, a mint (physically) 2000 ML-430 in gorgeous black opal. The vehicle has 89,000 miles on it.
I want to make sure I take this vehicle to my wonderful mechanic, Ralph Luck in Rocky River, Ohio to give it a through look over before I fork over my money to the stealership. I think that's the smart thing to do... especially with an 8 year old truck
My question to this forum is what in particular should I ask him to look at? I'm very concerned about transmission issues so that's obvious. Outside of that I'm really not sure... all I've ever really heard negative about these cars are electrical glitches; something as a current VW driver I can relate to. Nothing is more annoying. I should point out that I live in Cleveland, Ohio, where the roads are as chuck holed and generally uneven as anywhere I've ever been. According to the Car Fax, the vehicle has been in this general area it's entire life.
I appreciate any and all help. I test drove the vehicle this morning and I am in love!
