Take my C230 to Austria?

I am relocating from the US to Austria. I have a 2005 C230 coupe (1.8 Kompressor). I have noticed that the comparable car is far more expensive in Austria. Shipping is relatively cheap - it can go in a container with my personal goods at little additional costs. Austria allows import of personal cars from non EU countries without duty or VAT.

Does anybody know the difference between US and European specs? I know I have to refit the car to meet European standards, but I have no idea how costly and difficult that would be.

Thanks!

- Radio / Navigation
- Front indicators on bumper removal (and coding for it) - bump strip change
- Cluster change

These are just the things I can think of.

Modz ... enjoy the difference. www.benzmodz.com

Aren't head lights different too? Or are the US lights allowed in Austria in case it is owned by one moving from the US? I believe my country has different rules for this from "commercial" import.
