Trading Up/Across

I'm thinking of trading my C32 for a 2001 S430. Any advice or tips on what I should look into while going into this larger vehicle? I've already checked insurance rates/ payments and I'm good there, with money down I'll have plenty of equity in the vehicle. Thanks in advance to any who reply.

You'd be better off posting this in the W220 forum. Briefly, the early W220 had some issues (air-matic suspension comes to mind) and you should look into as new as one as possible. As far as I know, the 430 engine and transmission are sound; I had an E430

Do a search before posting. This issue comes up all the time. To answer your question, do not 'trade up', because you will really be trading down to a Chrysler S430 that features poor electronics and bad build quality.

Go to W220 post and read all from last two weeks, go buy that car but aware of the down side. Also read W140 forum replacing w210 with W140. Mrpowerseller and few others has the minority view.

I'd keep the C32 or, failing that, trade up for a newer AMG C.
