Question How long is the trip from Germany to USA?

Hello everyone, I'm new here. I put a deposit down on a 2009 C63 AMG last month. It has a production date of 8/30. I was just wondering if anyone has any idea how long it will take the car to arrive on the east coast of the USA from Germany after production?

ships take just few days for the trip. Most likely crucial factor will be waiting for the ship.

It took my E-320 about a month for the trip and to clear customs in Baltimore.

It took 8 months for my car and it did not even have to wait for the ship from Europe to US East cost. You might want to spend the time at the forum, read the on-line user manual, discuss with other owners at the W204 section but there is a risk, you might get hooked and start spending your time here even after the car is delivered.

We waited full 12 months for our ML to be delivered from Alabama to California. Too bad back in 1998 this forum didn't exist, or I didn't know about it?
It is way cheaper than driving
Not in bad sense.

As previously mentioned in another thread, Benz shoots for three weeks after production and aims to exceed expectations.

6-weeks was my experience (for a northern California delivery): My '09 S550 was built the first week of June, shipped on the 11th and arrived at the Long Beach, CA port in just under 4 weeks. Following a delay related to contract renewal talks with union dockworkers and EPA paperwork clearance, I took delivery in the SF Bay Area on 24 July.

My dealer informed me the delivery time could be delayed if the shipping company determined the container/cargo ship was not "full" - wait to set sail until it is.

Patience has it's rewards. If you're like most of us in this forum, you will find yourself smiling uncontrollably the first time you get behind the wheel of your new baby!

In this life, there are 3 great joys - to love & be loved unconditionally, and Mercedes Benz. Congratulations & happy-driving!

Cheers,

I import twice from Germany. Back in 84 I have the agent ship out of Netherland about 4 weeks to Houston port. If your order thru dealer by MBUSA, it will take from 3 to 6 weeks max. It happens to my 2001 E320. It all depends on the sailing, it your car delivered to the Euro port in time to catch the sailing, that will be 7-10 days faster. There is about 3 sailing per month from Netherland port. They all go to Jacksonville, Florida. It may take 3 to 7 days unload and preparation, it all depends on any option being install there by MBUSA.
