10,000 euro in fine, a traffic cop just need 4 tickets to support annul pay. I rather go to jail and let them pay my living. Germans are more civilized with unlimited speed at the autobahn. I just like MB-SV, use escort on out of town trip. I did hot wire my detector by pick out a 12v=,- terminals out of the courtesy lighting next to the rear mirror. So the wire just hand out about 3-4 inches. If you open up the courtesy light lense, you are able to find one permanent hot 12V contact other than the one only get hot by opening the doors and one permanent ground. I did that on all my car listed. But you have to remember to turn off your detector after you shut off the engine, otherwise, you will drain your battery in 2-3 weeks. the good thing is cop will not spot your detector and you have enough time to take it off and put detector into your grove box whenever you got caught and hind the wire back behind your sunshade. I do not like the protection of detector, I think radar jammer is much important. it will able to screw the reading and patrol will only give you a warning instead of a ticket. Cops in Texas, by law has to know the exactly the speed of the vehicle before tickets will be issued.
