Mr (Sir if you like)

Hello All.
just signed up. Own a 1987 230E automatic. Had it for 12 years and very happy. Like any 21 year old car, things are starting to die of old age. Have done quite a lot of work on it but still much to learn. The latest glitch is a noisy fuel pump. Going only on the advice of the local spares shop owner, I am about to replace it. Not an easy decision for me as pumps don't come cheap. Problem is, I don't want to be left stranded on the roadside.
If anyone could advise me, I would appreciate it.
Cheers.

Welcome aboard, better safe than sorry. If you think the pump is bad replace it. I never second guess myself.
