SLK230 - Dash Repair Kit

Can anyone recommend a leather dashboard repair kit? I have a few small areas that need repairing on a SLK230. I have the dye for finishing. I appreciate your help!

It's actually more of "peeling". I was lightly sanding an area so I could apply some Mercedes leather/Interior paint anthracite. As you know, seems like all SLK230's have peeling.

Most areas sanded smoothly. However, there were two small areas that just would not sand down level. So, I thought adding something on top would make it easier to sand the places down. Make sense?

By the way, is a SLK R 170 the same as a SLK 230? Sorry, I'm new. I found a part needed for my SLK 230 but it was referenced as SLK R 170.

Lightly sanding just enough so the dye will stick. Here is the product:eBay Motors: Mercedes leather+Interior paint anthracite ,SLK R 170 (item 200245056368 end time Aug-14-08 13:12:27 PDT)

What was the original problem, peeling? Sorry I don't have a SLK, only a 30year old MB coupe.

Yep, peeling. Here's an article from this site: http://www.benzworld.org/forums/r170...slk-230-a.html

This was off topic but: an SLK 230 would be a body style R170 car. But the body style R170 can be anything from SLK200, SLK200 kompressor, SLK230 kompressor, SLK 32 AMG compressor or SLK 320. Or more accurately: 170.435, 270.444, 170.445, 170.447, 170.449, 170.466 and 170.465. From the list of sub-forums you can find most of this info. http://www.benzworld.org/forums/

R171 is the later model but it does not have any SLK 230 engine.

Better to go back to the original topic and continue with a new thread if necessary.
