For any later model Mercedes, ensure your independent

1. Has had Mercedes "factory" training (that covered your model)

2. Has a subscription to WIS

Both OM2sensors, mass air flow sensor, CAM positon sensor and harness have been replaced several times...everything fine for a while then check engine light comes on again. Took it to the Mercedes Dealer out here in Albuquerque and they said that my Cam position sensor was leaking and got in the wires and it was their guess that it caused all of the above problems. They wanted to replace above plus harness plus ECU to the tune of about $2,500. But they still weren't sure if that would fix the problem! Decided not to leave it with them as they didn't seem to have a clue or really care (I bought the car in Florida). I have been driving it for over a year with the "check engine" light on. A bit lengthly, but that's where I am at this point...any help!

Agreeing with Kent. There are people all over the country who were trained by Mercedes and have since left to open their independent shops. Not all will be subscribed to the WIS because I think it costs quite a bit.
