First MB - 82 300D

Another new guy here! I am a long time Toyota owner, but I am selling my current car and I will be using my Dad's 300D till I leave for the Air Force in January. As of now the 300D is just sitting in the driveway, the only problems that I could tell is the flaking paint, driver side seat has a wide rip on the bolster, and a new battery is needed.

So I have no knowledge about any Euro vehicles. Only thing I can describe it.. is that its huge compared to my Celica. It seems like it would be a fun car to drive around, and a change in driving style. I looked at the speedo and it tops at 90!

BTW I will get pictures of her as soon as I find my camera cord, She is White with a really clean tan interior. I think the first things I would want to change is the wheels to compensate for the size of the body. Im not use to seeing tiny wheels on big cars.

If anyone has any insight on these vehicles please, help me out. I want to make it as "clean" as possible.

I like that Diesel, can I drive it when you leave? I was an AF Security Police(woman) for six years, I'll take good care of it. I see alot of these cars still on the streets of NoVa. I only started looking at them and VW TDIs when gas prices spiked. You've come to the best place to learn about it, find your message board, use the search feature and have fun.
Enjoy your tour, are you planning on doing 20?

I have the minimum 4yr contract as on now, but I will change it to the 6yr contract for the E3 rankings.

Im going to give her a good cleaning today, and take some shots of the interior, which is suprisingly very clean.
