2001 C320 misfire issue

Hello my lady friend has a 2001 C320 that has a misfire issue

my VW scantool gets generic codes for misfires which doenst help.

happens at cold starts after hard acceleration or really any hard acceleration
I replaced the cat on the DS cause it was rattling but that only temporarily fixed the missing

any insight to common problems or test to run would be fantastic, thanks in advance

She has a W203 C-Class and there is a forum devoted to those. Even though the 320 engine is common to several MB classes, your odds for a quick answer are better there. Good Luck!
