hey guys i have a problem that me or the dealer cant figure out.
my car is having a low speed surge and jolt(about 5mph) and i droped it off to the dealer thinking i was having the problem with coolant in the tranny like some of these cars have.
the car is a 03 e500 with 72k on it.
i took it in to have it diagnosed and it wasent showing any codes and the service tech cant seem to replicate the symptoms.
they tested the tranny fluid and passed for no coolant and every thing looked good.
so what can it be? the tech drove the car 5 times and he said it seemed fine and he was going to have a higher up tech go with him on another drive.
its stumping me and the dealer so is this just due to the cars age or what?
car has an aftermarket chrysler warranty and i have to pay for a rental and it has been there since monday but i droped it off late in the day so they dident get to it till tuesday.
i need your help guys and thanks.

It could be that fine Chrysler build quality and world renowned reliabilty of the 03 E class. This would be a good time to get rid of it and get something better.

If the problem is not throwing codes and the tech can't replicate it you might be at the end of your rope at that dealer. I suggest starting another thread on the W211 forum so more of the owners of your car will see it. There are no rules prohibiting duplicate threads on different forums.

it doesnt sound as if the dealer is stumped. if they cant duplicate your issue, they arent stumped. and when you have a car that is out of warranty and have ext warr you have to prove a failure to the ext warr company.
well the svervice advisor called me and said they are going to have the main service tech take a look at it. i like my car and i have only had it for about 5 months and im not going to get rid of it till about another year. my warranty is a good one so most is covered by it.
if they cant find nothing wrong maybe its just me paying to much attention to the car.
the car runs perfect and i havent had any other problems out of it and im happy with the car.
i was thinking about geting an 06-07 then i looked at one at the dealer and i cant justify tradeing in my car for a newer one thats close to the same car. shure they have updates and upgrades but not that much difference between my car and a new one.
im going to look in to a cls when i get ready to sell my car.
if any one had any more ideas let me know and thanks
