BROKEN SIDE MIRROR

WAAAAAH!

OK it happened....it just had to happen.

Some bozo head hit my Passenger Side Mirror.
It's now flopping in the wind!

I'm looking like trailer trash now because I have clear shipping
tape holding it together.
Help me! Solution?

The mirror is ok, everything is ok, except when you push back the
passenger mirror, you can see the metal linkage bar is snapped!
It's gray metal so I think it's Die-cast.

I can only imagine if I ask my local Stealership what the cost is.

Bunch of bozos. Why did they have to hurt the ol' gal like that?

Try to find on the net this: "How do you repair a passenger side mirror". Maybe you'll find something. Meantime ask your local Stealership about the cost. You'll never know.

Sorry to hear that.

I bought a used E430 and didn't notice the passenger side mirror was loose until later. I brought it to the used car sales manager's attention and he went 50/50 with me on the repair by their MB technicians. I have since trashed all of that car's paperwork but I think full price was pretty expensive. I would still ask some dealer for an free estimate and that should at least tell you what parts are required. You might determine the job is an easy DIY. Good Luck!

Yeah; bummer for me.
OK I am looking at getting this fixed. Probably end up doing a DIY.
Here we go again.....I can see me doing another DIY with pictures.

You all stand by while I figure out what I am going to do.

I am seriously thinking of doing the Aluma-weld thing.
