I cannot seem to find any info on being able to do this. I have a 2004 E-Class (W211) UK model, and was wondering how to go about fitting a rear view camera. I have rear parking sensors that work pretty good but to be honest, i do still have the odd near miss.
I wanted to have a rear view camera mounted either on the rear bumper or near the number plate housing and then connected to my command system. Hopefully, with the image automatically appearing when reverse is selected and the command defaulting to its own aux input to display it.
Plenty of cameras but I thought the question was more about the connection at the Comand side plus possibly the way to get the rear view camera activated automatically when reversing. I did not find this info from the links (but I did not read everything).
If you find something, maybe you can get in touch with the manufacturer, which may give you more technical data.I guess they want to sell their merchandise, so they'll be very nice. Try it.
