Proper A/C R-134a Pressure Value?

I have searched on this but couldn't find a definitive answer. While doing my A/C Diagnostics I found that my Sensor 7 reading is only "07". I have bought a recharge kit but I wanted to know what an acceptable value for this sensor is. I have seen some people posting a value of "17". I don't want to overcharge the system.

Thanks,
-Frank

you cant base what the system is doing by that number. a system that is properly charged by is not working is going to have a low value for pressure. that is cause the compressor is not building any pressure and the system is idle. once the compressor kicks in, the pressure will start to build. usually between 11-17 bar. to accurately diagnosis, you need to hook up gauges and see what the system is doing. you could be low or have a faulty component.

You can buy a pressure gauge at automotive story, that has refrigerant level already marked on it. Since the system has accumulator, it will work in pretty wide range of pressure, but main point is, that low side should not drop below 30 psi. E class has the pressure display on climate console. I keep my systems at about 5-8 bars static pressure, what gives it 16-22 pressure under heavy load. Once the interior cools down, usually working pressure is about 14 bars
