I know the older Mercedes are great for converting to vegetable oil and would be great considering everyone is paying close to $5 a gallon for premium gas, or more for diesel. My problem is all the older Mercedes have a ton of miles on them, if not, the owners want a fortune for what is still a twenty-something year old car. Plus, they don't have all the safety features for child seats, Something the wife will NOT want. I'm paying $4.45 a gallon now, when it hits $5 (and it will), I'm not sure what to do.
Diesel w126's have good safety features. Do a search. This has been a popular topic in the past. You can also take a look at greasecar.com if you are interested in conversion to veg oil.
