Today I paid the equivalent of $5.05 per US gallon (44.71 Thai baht per litre) for 95 octane petrol. This is here in downtown Bangkok.

I paid £77.01 (about $142.45) for 61.66 litres (that's 16.3 US gallons), so that's $8.73 per gallon - beat that if you can!

I guess I should be happy that gas prices haven't gone up for a whole 2 weeks.

Where I am at it's $3.999 per gallon. I read that in Mexico the price of gas i $2.50 US per gallon. Something is wrong with this picture.

I know that this is an international forum but there are a lot of American here. I find it very interesting that the Democrats have block every effort to build new refineries in this country for the last forty years. This leaves us with very old technology and very high gas prices. Now, because the price of gas is so high, people are thinking of putting a Democrat in office. This is like putting the fox in charge of the hen house because he is so familiar with it.

I think in that article they mentioned the gas in Mexico was subsidized.
