Trouble with Wood Trim Removal

hello there, i"m sorry if this has already been asked but i couldn:t find it. i just recently turned 16 and purchased my first car. i really wanted it to be special so i"m redoing everything myself. the zebrano wood is cracked in most all places and i am having trouble removing the wood trim from the glove box i was able to remove the glove box faceplate, but the wood is held on to by twisted metal pins. i have no idea how to remove this. the other wood trimming kinda was pulled off easy i don:t know if this was supposed to happen but i plan on reapplying them after i"m finished restaining and finishing them with 3M heavy duty automotive adhesive. alos, if anyone could point me in the direction of a post that explains how to correctly remove the console wood and the cigarrete trey and all that other stuff i would appreciate it, all the wood refinishing posts have just said remove wood and havn:t really said how. i don:t know if i sound like a complete idiot for asking these questions. but i just need to know.
thanks so much
