Fishtailing

When make a turn and accelerate too quickly, my car tends to fishtail often. Anyone else have this problem? I can't say I dislike it, but some of my passengers do. The tires aren't very old...

Which tyres do you have (tyre brand/model/size)?

Well you have two options.

First: neglect what your friends think and continue having fun

Second: go easier on the throttle while in a turn, don't forget you have around 330 ft-lbs torque throughout much of the rev range.

These are good options, the latter one specifically but buying good W-rated Michelins or Continentals might also help, at least if you happen to have some "plastic Japanese/Korean/Indonesian" tyres instead of real rubber.

CLK certainly should have ESP but it isn't too comfortable for passengers still when ESP starts acting.

Make sure your ESP is not disabled or otherwise have it fixed.

This "fishtailing" should be lighting a light on your dashboard, the !.
