If it feels like a waste, if it walks like a waste, if it quacks like a waste, then
YES it's a waste of good, fine American dollars.

i was quoted 350 for service D, which is a bit more time consuming then service B

find a local shop that specializes in import cars or even better if the shop specialized in european cars

they do things according to manufacturer specs and dont charge as much

You need to trade your Mercedes in for a Mercury. Most only just changed the oil and that you do that yourself. Just drive it until it breaks it is disposable. Oh and you will still be able to tell everyone you drive a "Merc".

I was talking to someone at a gas station once about his new Mercedes. He called it his economy car. He said he replaced his Jaguar and the Mercedes is considerably cheaper to own.

On my car, recommended brake fluid changes are every 2 years and the coolant is every 3. I was just quoted $300 + tax for those 2 jobs. $125 to change the air filter is probably the activated charcoal cabin filter and those are expensive with normal dealer markups. Your engine air filter costs $35 (dealer price again) and it takes 2-3 minutes to replace. I don't know what exactly you mean by the fuel injection job, but if you use only "top tier" 91 octane gasoline with their adequate detergent levels you should not need that. As a precaution, I only use Chevron Supreme 93 fuel and add a large bottle (treats up to 20 gallons) of their Techron Concentrate every 3000 miles. That is MB-approved plus dealers sell an MB-brand fuel system cleaner that you might try.

Ah, the satisfaction of owning a Benz. Rip-off dealer prices. I paid $200+ for my first service ... which was essentially an oil change. I hate getting gouged for things when I know the real cost. This next oil change will probably include rotating the tires. The bill should be $300+.
I'll have to decide then if I'm going to do it myself and just document it for the lease company .....

Keep smiling.
