Why wouldn't you export one from the US? You could have paid under $200k here for the same car. I've seen people from Russia do it! They come over and buy up much cheaper Mercedes all the time.

Yeah, the ones we get are loaded as far as options available to North America go. I know I'm forgetting some, but the easiest one coming to mind right now is the rear seat entertainment system. Of course that doesn't justify the extra $200k but most of the car is taxes anyway.

Exactly. There is no reason to purchase an overpriced one in Europe when you could export one from the US for 50-60% less. I know it's a major business and it's really common with Mercedes.

You then have to pay tax on that when you import it to your home country..........doesnt become such a bargain when that is factored in........
