1983 240d help please

ive got a broken drive shaft and manual transmission linkage levers and rods broken. i am getting new parts .

1.for the drive shaft can i measure the old one ??, so that i know the new one fits correctly??

2. seems like removing the stick shift and replacing everything to the trany should work .

3.and i need 2 rubber spacers at the ends of drive shafts ?

4. any other help with this repair would be super !!
i hope some one can help me get this car on the road . thanks !!!!!!!

How the old drive-shaft failed?
I would suspect one of the flex disk gave up? So replacing both of them would be in order.
Are you getting OEM driveshaft?
The linkage seems to be separate problem, that I don't understand?
