Too bad it took 6 years to turn my almost Lemon of a CLK model into an award for quality. Different story for 2002, I'm sure.

Yet... our ML320 is 3 months shy to 10 years with only MAF failing in those years. Still all original batteries.
$120 repair cost for 10 years ain't bad, isn't it?

Munich - Toyota cars have been most reliable on German roads followed closely by Mercedes in annual breakdown statistics kept since 1977, according to Germany's automobile association ADAC.

In segments ranging from small cars to premium luxury, Toyota won the top spot for reliability 34 times during the past three decades compared to Mercedes with 32, the ADAC said.
First off, how can there be 66 top spots in only 30 years?

But more to the point, where was Mercedes in the years when it was not #1? Unfortunately, some of that time it was at or near the very bottom. I'll bet Toyota never dropped out of the top 3.

Wow, that's a freaking miracle for the 1st gen ML, and to a lesser extent the second gen ML too.
