Will Double Din DVD/Navigation sterio work for 2003 C230 sedan

just want to know if a double din dvd/navigation stereo will fit on a stock 2003 c230 Kompressor sedan, i would like to make my interior look nicer, but i have seen on crutchfield that all the double din stereos will not fit for my car. Is there a reason for this, looks like it would fit in there if stock stereo and little storage compartment underneath it, then the double din stereo will fit, would just like a nice stereo with a screen on it. Only other option i see is a in-dash pull out screen stereo, but dont really like those. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also my srs light is on and car has never been in accident and air bags have never been deployed. Heard from previous owner that it was a sensor for the passenger air bag. Any way to fix without spending too much money, thanks
