Smile OT(sort of): My new garage floor

If you guys are like me, you probably spend a good amount of time in the garage. I have been wanting racedecking for awhile since my floors are cracked and uneven. I finally went ahead and got some. Installed it this past weekend. I only did the far bay that I keep the 911 in during the winter. The 300SEL will soon be taking that spot. I had enough racedecking left over to get a couple of feet into the near bay. Most likely I will get some more this summer and finish the entire garage. Then the SLK will have the same floor under it.

Beautiful job, Michael - looks great! I saw that you used about 20 X 13 mats @ $4.00 each, or about $1,040 for your area. That price kept me from installing my whole 2.5 garage area with race deck. So, I wound up using the vinyl roll out mats (2) in 9 X 20 size from here:

G-Floor Garage Floor Protection Mats

The purpose was to cover the cold cement, provide a non-slip environment and look good! The price was about half of the racedeck. My next garage will probably look like yours - same color scheme!

It looks nice!! Did you look into any other alternatives for flooring? This summer we're having our garage floored finally after having painted it this last summer. My dad doesn't really want to do tiles. It doesn't too nice, IMHO, considering I have nothing racing related at all in there...like a Porsche.

How is that ColorChips epoxy stuff?
