Post Mercedes Benz C Class Air Conditioning Fault

I have a 1999 mercedes benz c class with an air con fault.
the air con works when started and then builds pressure up to 30 bar. once the pressure is reached the clutch on the compressor cuts out and will not cut in again until the vehicle is re-started until the same pressure is reached.. I spoke to mercedes and they said it could be the Receiver/Dryer, condensor or a valve behind the dash. I have replaced the Receiver/Dryer with no effect.

Can anybody help???
