W126 560SEL..Rear shocks..HELP!

1987 560SEL Euro model with hydromatic suspension bypassed. Rear shocks replaced with ordinary. Rear sags when I load back seat. Can I use shocks from a different model without hydromatic suspension to stop this? I do not want to restore hydromatic suspension it is too expensive. I am american overseas. Anybody have experience with this? Any feedback appreciated =)
Regards,
David

What did you think would happen when you removed the load-leveler system? You could try stiffer springs, but your car will probably start riding like a truck...

System was bypassed by previous owner. Can I use springs and shocks from a different model? Do you know?
Thanks

Hard to say, since you can't know what springs are on the car now. There is a heavy duty rear spring, 116 324 08 04. Buy 'em and try 'em, I suppose. Best of luck!

Thanks I live in the Philippines and rarely go over 80KPH so I doubt i will notice a huge difference in ride. The roads are terrible here anyways and traffic worse. Heck most of the time I am plugging along at 20KPH.
