Ok guys I need help.
I have a W209, and I started to notice the chirping noise (I believe the netherland setting )when you arm/unarm the car doesn't sound anymore. Didn't think anything of it. It's been like that for the past few weeks.
Anyways, the past few days if I get out of the car, get stuff out of the trunk etc.. there's this really high pitched screeching/irritating noise that sounds like its coming from the front left area. I'm assuming its the siren for the alarm that may be starting to die. The only way to stop it is to start the car, let it run for a bit, and pray that it doesn't happen again.
The best similar noise comparing I can say it sounds like is a fax machine. The part it sounds like is the 'beeeeeep <________>". Basically that garbled noise after the beep. The screeching noise is not constant, and sometimes the screeching sound flutters of that makes any sense. BUT, when it is constant, it does sound like the alarm going off.
Before I bring it to the stealership I wanted to know if there's anything I can do to see if its possibly a loose wire, or something easy I can do myself. This problem is very random so I know when I bring it into the stealership it won't happen. Would this be also be related to why the chirping noise doesn't work when arming/unarming the car anymore?
