Arrival time from Germany to USA?

How long does the trip from Germany to the East Coast of US take after the production date?

Benz shoots for three weeks, and aims to exceed expectations. What are you waiting on?

2009 C63. Just got a call from the dealer yesterday. The production date has been moved up from August 30th to August 26th!

I'm having my car (C63 AMG) shipped from Cali to Schumacher MB because I want to get the tax benefits next year and apparently if I put the car on the ground in Cali, I would lose out on those benefits. What tax rate will I pay when the car arrives here in Phx? Do I pay the DMV or how does that work? Thanks for your support.

Ask Schumacher, tax rates vary by city. Ours is 7.8%.

Cheers,

You pay the tax according to the place of registration. That can vary from county to county and even city to city. The tax can be collected by the salesman and forwarded to your county, or what most of sellers prefer you pay no tax at the transaction and pay proper tax when you register it in your county.
In the past, having 2 California addresses I could register the car at the second home, instead of my Bay Area (San Francisco) main residence. That gave me instant $200 saving on used car. The easiest $200 I made in my life.

I tried to pair mine to my E320 Bluetec. I was told I had to buy a $200-250 cradle and a new phone that would fit in the cradle. I decided to do without their hands-free capability. This additional cost was required even though my car was supposedly bluetooth ready.

I’m looking to replace my venerable ML430 – BUT with what!?!
New ML – maybe??
New GLK – not sure. I’ve got to see and drive one first.
New “B” – I WILL drive to your dealership TOMORROW and put CASH in your hand!!!

I’m really not willing and/or patient enough to wait until 2010 / 2011!!!

Tell your Managers / Owner to bring a few into the states NOW!
After all the car IS approved under most US laws and requirements (not sure about “The Republic of CA”) that I can find.
