Post MBZ-1 Module for Mercedes-Benz

I know I posted an article about this module already, but here is the contact info. There wasn't any phone number or website on any of the articles I had. We put these on all of our cars. I don't think that there is anything else out there like it and its pretty bad ass...

I did not find your previous post and references to some articles but I did not understand what you would gain from this device really. You can already open and close doors, open and close windows and the sunroof, open the trunk etc. with the factory smart key.

The ALL OPEN and ALL SECURE are not features that are on the smart key that can be done unless you are right next to the car. This feature unlocks and can roll down all the windows and open the sunroof, or lock up everything and close the sunroof.
It overrides having to be parked to close the sunroof and lets you open and close it up to 25mph, this is not an option from Mercedes-Benz.

Also one of the most important is that all the functions that Mercedes-Benz have are done at about a foot away from the door handle (mostly). This module gives you the ability to be about a 100ft away to do all of these functions.

Nothing is available to protect the vehicle from any type of jolt or impact to the body, window, or windshield while the system is locked. The MBZ-1 is equipped with a negative trigger which enables a tech to integrate an impact sensor to alert or chirp the factory siren if someone breaks the window or hits the car.

There is also a feature where you can program the daytime running lights.

I don't mind owners buying and installing this device but the MB approach is an intentional safety feature. Like you cannot close the windows without seeing if a kid or a pet is hanging out and in danger.

When would you leave the windows open and then would want to close them from distance?

How does the sunroof operate with this device?

I guess someone finds the device useful, I have no problem with that.

Mostly after market accessories are just intended to do what automakers cant do anyways regardless of their safety or legality. Of course MB has the safety issue, they have to cover themselves.

"When would you leave the windows open and then would want to close them from distance?"

You have it backwards, you can open the car up as your walking towards it and have it ready to go when you get there... And then as your walking away have it all secure.
This way you dont have to unlock the car, get in the car, roll down the windows, and then do the sunroof... You just press "unlock" three times as your walking towards it and it does it for you.
Then when you park, you just press "lock" 3 times and the sunroof goes up, the windows roll up, doors lock, and alarm is set.
