Dealership scratching their heads with this one!
W219 CLS 320 CDi. 18,000m
Intermittent problem. get steady rocking of car (smooth and rhythmical) when brake applied and stationary. Intensifies when gently press accelerator to creep forward. Seems more prominent when on slight uphill gradient. Once above 2-3mph it stops. Have also noticed this seems to coincide with what the dealership says is the purge cycle of the first cat converter in engine bay (this crackles for few days every few months when turn off engine). Is there any way these can be connected to each other? Dealerships best guess is engine/gearbox software but may be brakes too.
Am new to forum with hope that you guys can help (and the only technical knowledge I have comes from this forum!)
