Thanks. I hate to do it myself and go wrong. I have to find someone brave to do it for me. What I do not understand is why should a $100,000 MBZ have a carbon built up after only 93,000 mi. I have always used the super 93 gas.
The heads on my vehicle had to be removed and the passages cleared at 82K; this was done by the prior owner and MB actually paid for a part of the repairs as "goodwill," this was due to the 80K emissions warranty just having expired. Still, it was an expensive job, but I now have a "new" top end on the engine.
Hopefully, the Seafoam treatment will do the trick and you will not have to resort to the more drastic and expensive alternative.
