Paint Job?

I have a 99 c230k and noticed there are a few areas where surface rust/bubbling are starting to form, and Im gonna catch these while theyre young, then i noticed a few more near the door trim, and also below one door handle. I think my best bet is just to get the car repainted and have this rust removed while the rest is sanded. Does anyone have an idea as to what a paint job would go for, and if removing the rust would add much more cost(there'd be no dickin around with matchin paint, thought that might be a money saver)? i wanna keep the car black, as i know changing the color is more cashish.

Tough call without seeing it. Normally it wouldn't make sense to paint that new a car unless it was really banged up and scratched up. 040 black has been in production for half a century and shouldn't be hard to match. It is pure black - nothing added. Painting over what you have isn't likely to stop rust in its tracks. Anything close to the factory paint quality is going to cost you $3k to $5k. I think I'd be hesitant to make the investment and also hesitant to go for a cheap full paint job - but again hard to say without seeing the extent of it.

Well, I'm not too sure exactly what you mean by bubbling... I had rust spot on my bumper from rocks and debris... I just threw some touch up paint on there and called it a day...

Bubbling means rust(read cancer) under the paint. Not ease to stop when its near a joint or trim or the like.
Remove all the bubbling and see if the metal underneath is flaking.
How much salt has your C230 seen?
If there's bubbling all over then it can be a huge job to bring back to pristine.
Good Luck!!
