Since you don't mention, the key probably turned OK, meaning the drive authorisation worked OK.
There should be a "small click" anyway, from the starter relay (K6). You would probably not hear it inside the car. If there is no click from the starter motor solenoid, perhaps the starter relay is bad. You could measure the voltage from the starter relay to the the starter motor solenoid. If there is power to the solenoid, then that would be bad or seriously stuck (mechanically).
