Question LoJack-transferable?

Hello! I'm new to this forum, as I just went from a BMW 325i to a 2005 CLK-500 convertible. I'm LOVING the new ride. Anyway, the car comes with LoJack installed by the previous owner and I was wondering whether the program would be transferable to me. I know I will need to re-register the LoJack, but I do not have the "LoJack Registration Card" (which, per the website, is given to the purchaser after installation and is required in order to register the product). The alternative (if you do not have the card) is to call their 1-800 number to speak with a customer representative (at which point I am sure I will be told that I need to pay something in order to continue the product).

Anyone have any experience with this product, know how re-registering the system works, or know what is involved (payment-wise) for re-registering?

Forgot to mention that I do have the two key fobs that came with the LoJack. Not sure what these are either, nor why I would need to keep them on my keychain. (Don't you merely inform LoJack when your car is stolen, and they notify the police?)

I think your alarm system in by a Canadian company called Boomerang.
If you have a Boomerang 2 installed, then the 1-800 # will fill you in.
If you car is stolen while you are away from it, then the movement of the car is all that is needed.
The Boomerang(Lo-Jack) senses unauthorized movement and starts tracking right away and notifies the police before you even know that the theft has taken place.
It works with the cell phone network and is basically one of the best systems out there; but it's not foolproof.
ie: it might not work in deep underground parking or where cells don't work.
ps: don't leave the fob key-chain in your car without you, because that would disable the system.
