You sound like almost every 17 year old I've ever known. Believe it or not, posted speed limits are not based upon the car you own or drive. "45 or 50 in a 30" zone (and I've driven most of the PCH) means you could easily hit something or someone before you even realize it is in front of you. The thirty zones on PCH are nowhere to be speeding; maybe a couple miles an hour leeway, but not 15 or 20 over.

And bragging about being "perfectly safe" and how fast you go reveals four things: your ignorance of physics and the real world, a distinct lack of maturity, a disregard for laws (and the rights of others), and an entitlement mentality.

Given your revealed attitude, I'm going with DrJ at this point. Probably the best thing for you would be a conviction on all three tickets and a suspended license for a few months.

Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy; its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery. (Winston Churchill)

lol @ people who think they are holier than everyone else and don't speed. I only SPED.....I didn't murder someone. WOW...I wasn't even going that fast. As long as you're a good driver going 50 in a 35 when it should really be 45 isn't a big deal. Going 88 in a CLS really isn't dangerous. Why y'all so ignorant?

I really don't think he's at all ready to slow down.
The laws are for other people, right!!! Good luck in court......or maybe he'll soon be ready for a few months on his bicycle or....maybe a chauffeur.
Please slow down and let all of us enjoy the ride.

there are way too many seniors citizens on this thread!
there are freeways that are empty, no other cars around!
i have gone up to 120mph once on my 2003 c320 coupe on a freeway with limit at 70mph.
i dont go that fast often, worry about my tires cant handle it. ahha
but i did go around 100mph, some people speed up only if the road condition is safe! like no other cars around!
y do u think cars with top speed at 180mph or 200mph is LEGAL for street use? i mean some people only speed up when conditions is SAFE!
to those people that keep saying SLOW DOWN! DONT SPEED!
i guess u never drive a long trip like 4-8 hours! i guess it really fun going at 65mph when u the only one on the freeway!

He is not disclosing his age, but when it comes to speed limits, I am against grandmas saying "slow down".
1. As Germans prove, driving 120 mph on regular basis doesn't have to be more danger, than driving 50 on US roads.
2. Speed checks in California are so rare, that getting speeding ticket is close to winning the lottery. Evidently the guy had good luck because I can drive 500 miles without seeing a police at all, with average 3 cruisers seen on San Francisco -San Diego route.
Takes me 6.5 hr of driving for 500 miles, so you figure out my speeds.
3. Since only 0.0000001% of speeders are catch, making a sample from single driver is not really working.
With the option of having radar detectors in CA there are no victims of speeding tickets.
Just volunteers.

In spite of your feeble attempt to explain that speed does not kill you failed to make a case. It does.

The OP speeds regularly and probably ALL the time. The odds of him getting caught then increase and so three times in that short of a period show that he:

a) doesn't learn anything from it
b) could care less and has a careless attitude
c) should not be on the road and any judge will conclude that and take him out.

Thanks for the support guys! I am going to go buy a Valentine's Detector I said, too many grandma's on here who think "speeding kills people". It's the idiots that do DUIS and the Racer's who think they are the shit. I am a much safer drive than the idiot doing 55 or 60 in the Highway. Actually....average speed often times in O.C. highways (when not too much traffic) is 80-85 . I will be fine and I appreciate the advice and I will somehow beat these tickets and trust me...I won't lose my license

BTW...I turn 24 in May! Time goes by toooo fast!

There is a difference between speeding and reckless driving. I always thought that most speeding laws here are due to gas consumption. While I'm not gonna take up for someone speeding on a 30mph street, I must admit that I've been known to do up to 40. But on the highway is a different story. I've only been in one accident my whole life and yes it was due to speeding. I was on a crotch rocket, i'll skip the details, it was shameful and very dangerous, but it taught me a lesson. Big boys toys require a good head to asses driving conditions. I still speed quite a bit, but I got my radar detector and I keep my eyes on the road ahead. One accident was all it took to get my head back in the game. Because the stakes can be high.

Ladies! My Mercedes! Holds 3 in the back, 2 if ya fat.
