No but I returned a leased C240 1 month early on a flatbed tow truck, without paying a penalty. Used car manager at the MB dealer pretended like car was okay, even though it lost major power on the freeway. He knew the car would get wholesaled off due to high mileage.

have worked on several cars that were buybacks or in the buyback/lemon law process.

i think the funniest was a lady who complained numerous times about transmission issues and bought another benz with the same transmission.

One of my in-laws got T-boned by a drunk running a red light in So Cal hard enough to trigger the airbags in a year old S420 they purchased new. The dealer they got it from was a MB certifid accident repair facility so they had it fixed there. It never worked right after the fix although the structural repairs were flawless in that all the critical body and frame dimensions were within 1-2 mm of factory specs which was about as close as new ones from the factory come. The problems that cropped up were all related to the electronic systems. After several months and several return trips to the dealer on a hook they discovered which MB models they would never buy after extended times with loaners of almost all model lines. MB finally sent a tech from Germany to try to fix it. He changed the entire wire harness and fiber cables. When that did not fix it they were offered a new one in an even exchange. The old one was shipped back to Germany for a total tear down according to the service manager. This was about four years ago. He is due to upgrade soon but his interest in the ML or G class faded quickly after his extended time with the loaners so they are no longer under consideration. I know he was not thrilled with the look of the new S class but because of the way they treat him at the dealership, I can't imagine him getting anything but another Benz.

Now this guy is well "connected" so the degree of treatment he received may not be the way that all customers are handled at that dealership.

Potato Chip, custom canuter valve, low-friction muffler bearings, synthetic turn signal fluid, Hi-Definition Progressive Scan Wiper Blades.
Law-makers are supposed to regulate in the interest of the public as opposed to regulating in the interest of the regulated party.
If it says Pratt and Whitney on the outside it better say Martin Baker on the inside.

I have not had one of my cars bought back, but a couple have been bought back here at the dealership. Is there a reason you are asking this? Are you trying to get your car bought back?
