We do have a Detailing Section:

In the summer I do clean the cars myself. In the winter I leave it to others. Check out the detailing forum. There is lots of info there.

DIY kinda guy. It's kind fun to do it myself. Spend time with friends, enjoy the weather, etc.

I use 2 to 3 hot chics with really large breasts in string bikinis and I have them lather the soap onto the car with their jugs. Then they polish it with their muff patches. It works well and I have no complaints.....................the wife frowns upon it though.

Ditto to the Detailing forum suggestion.

I wash my own, totally by hand in warmer weather. Once or twice a year I have been paying my dealer's detail people to give it a good coating of wax. I'll probably stop doing the dealer detail though because I just learned the girl they had with 25 years experience quit recently.

Mercedes uses a ton of paint on their cars so unless your car has been totally neglected, I think you can bring the finish back to look almost new.

Because I live 2 short blocks from the ocean, we always have our cars washed weekly. I have my Mercedes washed at the dealer if I'm on the mainland (it's free) or at a no-brush car wash a mile from home. We've always had our cars detailed at least one a year, so the C230 is about due. For Christmas, I got a tire cleaning kit from a brother-in-law who works for the manufacturer. They've never made consumer products, and are trying to build new business. I'm about to try it out in a couple of weeks. The company is Lord, the founder invented the motor mount. B-I-L answers "What do you do?" with "I work for the Lord."
