104 Engine block compatability? 3.2 to 2.8?

I have a '94 E320 that dropped a valve seat and muched a piston. Today I saw a short block at the junkyard in a '93 E300 that is also a 104 engine. Its a 2.8 ltr where my original engine is a 3.2ltr. Do any of you techs here know if I can use this block with my head assy and all other original stuff.
The one at the junkyard has been completely reman with new pistons etc. so its very desireable. I did notice it has flat top pistons. My 3.2 has dished pistons. Does anyone know if these can interchange? I want to use the 2.8 block with a 104 used head and just get the car running again so I can drive it. Im concerned with valve interferance. Any ideas?
