auxillary plug

does any one know how to connect an ipod to a 2001 ML 320???? besides using the cassette player, does anyone also know any other method?? also can i install 3rd party naviagtion to the system?? for some reason when i press gps on the dock, it tell me not install, does anyone know why? thanks

Ipod connection for your 01 ML320 does not exist inside your glove box (auxillary input) since you do not have a factory OEM Navi installed and that is the same reason why you are getting that notification everytime you press gps.

You can install an after market brand, much more high end brand than the OEM.

If you go to the Audio subforum below and search for iPod you'll get lots of information.

Besides a cassette adapter there are FM transmitters that 'broadcast' your iPod to the FM section of the radio. Many people don't like the sound quality provided by either of these methods. There are also iPod adapters which while a little expensive provide the best solution and integrate your iPod into your MB system. Your search will give you the details.
