New 2007 C230 Owner- Battery Location?

Hi everyone,
This is a great site for information, I have been reading the posts on the DIY oil changes and they were great. I picked up a mityvac 7300 on someones recomendation here, it looks like a great tool.

I was looking under the hood this afternoon and did not see the battery. Is it covered with a plastic panel like everything else? Where is it? Does anyone know? How do I jump start it if ever needed?

Does anyone know a good resource to get a service manual? I had looked at several auto parts stores and no one had one, I did not have much luck looking online either.

Thanks for any answers you can provide. Dan in Scottsdale, AZ.

Streetglower has just answered your first question, as to your second question - jump starting. Very close to the battery location is a small red cover, lift this and under it you will find the positive connector for the jumper lead. Very close to this is a large nut which is the negative connector.
