Exclamation MB 95' C280 problem

i purchased a 95' C280 MB in perfect condition and has ran great and did the job for me....except for a problem that has happend down the road now...i have had it for about 4 months..now.. i was driving home from school.. and the engine just shut off... upon driving..it seems as if nothing else detected that the engine had shut off.. now it has this problem where when driving at times..it will drive fine..but then sometimes stutter...then have the engine die while driving.. does any one know what the problem may be.. there are no engine check lights or warning lights telling of anything wrong.

The infamous wiring harness gets my vote.

I once had a W202. Bought it cheap. See below.

I think it's best to 'assume' harness failure unless you have record of it having been replaced. There are miles of wiring and it's just not as easy as 'checking a connector' or 'rolling it between your fingers and listening to whether it sounds crunchy (dry)' - although both are ways to check it. Better pony up and have someone look at it who knows the issue with harnesses - any Benz indy mechanic.
